Ancelotti Uses Irony to Attack Real Madrid Critics: 'We Play Badly...'
Carlo Ancelotti left quite a notable message after the game against UD Las Palmas
Real Madrid decisively defeated UD Las Palmas (4-1). The Chamartín team thus regained the top position in LaLiga after Atlético Madrid's stumble in Butarque. Although they had to come back from Fábio Silva's initial goal, Carlo Ancelotti's team was lethal in attack.
Kylian Mbappé, who scored a brace, along with Brahim Díaz and Rodrygo Goes, were responsible for scoring the goals against Jasper Cillessen.
After the game, Carlo Ancelotti appeared before the media in Santiago Bernabéu press room, visibly satisfied with his team's performance. However, the Italian also took the opportunity to send a message to their critics.
Ancelotti uses irony after Real Madrid's thrashing
"I'm confused because I heard we play very bad soccer and what I see is that Madrid is leading. I'll keep studying where they're wrong. Today we played a complete and well-rounded game, with a lot of quality and attitude", commented Ancelotti.
"We started badly but I don't change the dynamic", added the Italian in his message after the victory against UD Las Palmas.
Despite it not being an easy season, Real Madrid is alive in all competitions. The Whites, as of today, are the leaders of LaLiga with two more points than Atlético and seven more than Barça. For these reasons, Carlo Ancelotti took the opportunity to have a few words with those who only dedicate themselves to criticizing.
How does he manage difficult moments?
Additionally, Carlo Ancelotti was questioned about the constant criticism the team is receiving this season. The Italian stated that the press is much harsher with Real Madrid than with other teams.
"There are criticisms and criticisms. The whistles at Bernabéu hurt because it's the criticism of a hurt fanbase and it motivates us. It was a wake-up call in the Copa match and it was useful", he explained.
"It's been a difficult week like all those when you get hit. It's when you have to be more with the team and encourage them. (...) The only way to get through difficulties is by being critical and positive", completed Carletto.
