Ancelotti Warns about Lucas Vázquez and Real Madrid Makes a Firm Decision in January

Reggiolo's coach is clear about one of his team's weak points

Real Madrid's performance has become slightly irratic for some time now. Injuries, many in a very short period of time, have negatively influenced the dynamics of a team that stills is a candidate for all the titles to be disputed this season.

But the shortage of players is more than notable, especially in the defensive zone. Ancelotti has already made it clear that the right wing position is one of the worst areas in Santiago Bernabéu changing room at the moment. The poor performance of Lucas Vázquez accentuates the sense  of urgency in that position, especially after the last few games.

Reggiolo's coach has already informed the Valdebebas offices that Curtis' '17' is the only player available in the first team in a key position. Dani Carvajal's serious injury means that his positional partner must accumulate a heavy load of games and minutes, causing more fatigue and giving more chances of injury.

According to the information published by the newspaper As, the coaching staff considers this dilemma to be an extremely urgent and priority "headache". But according to the newspaper, the coaching staff would have replied by refusing to make any transfers during the month of January.

No movements in sight

It doesn't seem like Real Madrid are ready to make any mid-season changes to their team. The roadmap of the executives led by Florentino Pérez, despite changing during these months, is always looking ahead to the 2025 summer transfer window.

That's why Carlo Ancelotti will have to put up with Lucas Vázquez for the rest of the current season. At the same time, it will be an excellent opportunity to count on some of the talents from La Fábrica or 'discover' the versatility of other first team players.

Fede Valverde could be a regular in that position, as happened when Lucas Vázquez himself was injured in the last few games. That seems to be the most appropriate change that Carlo Ancelotti would've in mind to replace Lucas Vázquez, who is back in the spotlight. Especially given the context of the player himself.

Because the player has a contract with the white club until the summer of 2025. The generational change plans devised by the white leadership have 'pushed' the Galician player to leave as a free agent. The transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold, also on a free transfer, remains a priority for the Madrid bosses.
