Real Madrid has always been known for making great transfers. However, it has also made great sales: it seems the next one could be Tchouaméni's.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City is reportedly very interested in the French midfielder from Real Madrid, and Florentino has spoken out.
Florentino's words on the possible departure of Tchouaméni
"We don't want to close the door to anyone. if he wants to leave, we'll negotiate," this is what Florentino Pérez said about a possible sale of the Frenchman.
Tchouaméni has left many doubts at the start of this season. Although now it seems he has regained his level by playing in the central defender position.
The truth is that the Frenchman's performance is often criticized by a part of the fans and Madrid media. It's important to note that the player is not playing in his position and is making a great effort to perform as a center-back.
Even so, the president has been very clear that if the player wanted to leave, he wouldn't stop him. Real Madrid paid about 80 million euros for him and could surely recover that easily with a transfer.
Both Manchester City and other teams have shown interest in his situation, but it seems that for now, Tchouaméni will not be leaving Real Madrid.
Tchouaméni's words after the game against Mallorca
This is what the French player said after winning in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup:
"There's a player from Mallorca who causes us problems in every match," the Frenchman expressed, referring to Maffeo. "People got a little upset, but the most important thing is to win the match and reach the final. We don't want to talk about this guy because that's what he's looking for."
"The important thing is what we do on the field. We've played very well, we're in a great moment, and now it's time to prepare for the final," the player concluded.
Tchouaméni will again be a starter today alongside Rüdiger in defense. He will face very talented players like Lamine, Lewandowski, or Raphinha, who is in a very good streak this season.
