Gavi Thanked Florentino after Barcelona's Victory over Real Madrid
Gavi surprises Madrid fans with his words to Florentino Pérez after the victory in the Supercopa
The grand final of the Spanish Supercopa was expected to be a celebration for all of Real Madrid and its fans. But it was quite the opposite. With a 2 to 5 loss against Barça, it was a true humiliation and the second of this season. Obviously, this has Madrid simply raging on social media against their team and rival fans.
However, one thing has taken both Barça and Madrid by surprise, and it's Gavi's gratitude to Florentino Pérez.
The Barcelona, against all odds, being one of the most despised by the Meringue fans, dedicated a few words to Florentino.
"I wanted to thank you for the letter you sent me when I got injured," was what he said to the president in gratitude.
This is completely apart from the result of yesterday's match, even though the player was a headache for the entire white team. Regardless, it speaks very well of the player's memory, who has decided to honor the president for his gesture.
At least a small joy
For many Madridists, this character from Fútbol Club Barcelona is a real headache who is very difficult to face in every match. A player who gives his all in every play and definitely puts the merengue players in trouble at every moment.
However, on this occasion he has had a rather humble and, above all, pleasant gesture with the white president. This is because last season, after a very tough ligament injury he suffered, Florentino dedicated a letter to him.
This gesture seems not to have been forgotten by the Barça youth player, and he decided to take the moment to thank Madrid's president. Something that, while it hasn't changed the disdain that merengue followers have for him, does help a little.
Now back to being a rival
After this gesture of sportsmanship and, above all, humility, he's now back to being the great rival of Madrid for the fans and players. Therefore, in the next match, they have to work to beat the Catalan team and avoid another humiliation.
