Gonzalo Miró differentiates between Madrid and Barça's complaints: 'I'm sorry, but...'

The commentator spoke about the complaints that footballers, management, and Barça fans have had regarding Marciniak's refereeing

Barça bid farewell to the Champions League in the semifinals after falling to Inter. The match at San Siro was thrilling. It ended 4-3 for the Italians, who took advantage of the defensive errors of the blaugrana team.

Flick's team managed to equalize an adverse 2-0. But in extra time, a goal by Frattesi ended their chances.

Earlier, Acerbi had equalized in the 93rd minute after a goal by Raphinha. Lamine Yamal was once again the best. But he ran into an unbeatable Sommer.

Despite the defeat, Barcelona's season remains remarkable. Champion of the Supercopa and Copa del Rey, both won against Real Madrid.

Additionally, they lead LaLiga with a four-point advantage. This Sunday, a key Clásico is played at 4:15 PM at Montjuïc.

Barça's complaints after falling in Milan

The anger in the culé locker room was evident. Flick harshly criticized referee Szymon Marciniak. He didn't understand several decisions.

Like a penalty not called on Lamine or a previous foul in Acerbi's goal.

"I don't want to talk too much about the referee. But every doubtful decision went in their favor," said the coach.

Pedri and Eric García also complained. Gavi posted a message on Instagram: "They didn't want us to reach the final."

Joan Laporta went further. The club released a video criticizing the referee's decisions. "We fought until the end, but we were stopped from the whistle," assured the president.

Gonzalo Miró: "It's not the same to complain before as after"

In this context, Gonzalo Miró wanted to clarify his stance. For him, there is a clear difference between Barça and Madrid regarding referee protests.

"We must distinguish between a complaint after a match and one before it is played," he said. "I'm sorry, but it's not the same," he insisted.

For the commentator, Real Madrid has gone a step further. "They protest even before the referee acts. That is not legitimate," Miró stated.

While Barça expresses their discontent after the matches, Madrid does so preventively. And that, according to Miró, "alters the refereeing environment."

A debate that, as always, intensifies in the final stretch of the season. Even more so with a decisive Clásico just around the corner.
