Madrid Knocks on the Door of the New Ibra for Endrick's Future, and There's Already a Price
The white team might've set its sights on a new forward due to the Brazilian's lack of progress
Real Madrid has managed to close out 2024 much better than some expected. After facing numerous problems and setbacks that have hindered the good performance of Carlo Ancelotti's team, the start of the season has been difficult. Injuries have been the main Achilles' heel.
Additionally, Ancelotti has struggled to find the right keys, although he has probably succeeded by now. Starting with Kylian Mbappé, who, at the end of the last 2024 game against Sevilla, announced that he was already "back."
"His adaptation period is over. He has already shown a good version and can still improve, he has recovered well from the minor injury he had. He's motivated, excited, and happy to be here. He needed that period. Everyone does, but it's over," stated the Italian coach about the '9' before the team went on vacation and thrashed the Andalusia (4-2).
Endrick Felipe seems to be the one who hasn't quite adapted. The young center-forward arrived with very high expectations, but he has barely had any minutes and in many games hasn't even stepped onto the field. A situation that even the player himself doesn't understand, since at the beginning of the season he was indeed counted on by Ancelotti.
The club isn't unaware of this delicate situation, especially after paying 35 million euros for the Brazilian, which could reach 60 million. The transfer with Palmeiras was sealed in 2022, agreeing that his arrival at Bernabéu would occur when he came of age. Something that happened this summer.
Isak, in the spotlight
Madrid could be behind Alexander Isak, the Newcastle striker who was at Sociedad. And, at 25 years old, remains one of the main candidates to "succeed" Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Daily Telegraph has reported that Newcastle has decided to set at 150 million pounds (about 180 million euros). An exit for the Swedish striker from St James's Park in light of the hypothetical interest that both Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Liverpool and Arsenal, would have in transfer Isak.
