Real Madrid are convinced. The sanction against Kylian Mbappé will be harsh and could cost him dearly in sports terms. The straight red card against Alavés will have consequences.
The Frenchman was sent off in the 37th minute after a hard tackle on Antonio Blanco. The referee, Soto Grado, initially showed him a yellow card. But VAR called him. After reviewing the action on the monitor, he corrected it and showed the straight red card.
The club already assumes that the sanction will be at least two matches. It could even be three, according to the referee's report and the Competition Committee's criteria.
