Ramón de Mon Warns about the Transfer for Real Madrid's Defense: 'The Solution...'
The journalist and club member has defined the club's situation directly
The debate about transfering a central defender at Real Madrid continues. In reply to Carlo Ancelotti's extensive and ongoing requests, the board of directors led by Florentino Pérez has reportedly replied with a negative. They have also recommended that he look more frequently at La Fábrica, where there are several players with a promising future like Raúl Asencio.
This has been revealed by Ramón Álvarez de Mon in one of his latest reports. "There are no transfers in January, we'll see if there are any in June. Ancelotti, you have to look at the youth academy, there're immediate solutions", reveals the club member about this very important issue for Madrid's long-term future.
The name that Ramón has pointed out repeatedly is Jacobo Ramón. According to the communicator, the centrak defender has "an aerial prowess typical of his height. I saw an imposing central defender in all areas of the field, I saw a central defender contesting duels in any area of the field and winning them", he notes.
"With the ball, very accurate and very secure, with the ability to move both short and long. A lot of authority", concludes Ramón. But the communicator and club member of Real Madrid goes a step further with Jacobo: "he has the mold of a central defender that Madrid would continuously seek in the market".
Immediate and future solution
So much so that Ramón makes it clear that "calls to ask for Jacobo's price" could come sooner than expected to the board of directors. In addition to discussing this center-back from Real Madrid Castilla, the journalist highlights the case of Raúl Asencio, a center-back "especially useful" for the white club thanks to all his virtues. "We've already seen that he could be a solution for the right-back position, given the situation Madrid is in" in that position due to what has happened this season.
Placing the '35' from the Canary Islands as an alternative for the right side, Ramón points out that "that's where I fit Jacobo Ramón". Especially because he was one of those chosen to move up to the first team considering the potential he had shown in recent seasons, reveals the Madridist journalist.
"I think his participation shouldn't be limited to a mere debut like the other day, but he needs to be seen more. He needs to be seen more because he's a pure center-back, because there are certain area situations that he will defend better than Tchouaméni" due to the difference in natural positions. Ramón de Mon is clear: "it's urgent for Carlo Ancelotti to start giving him more minutes because you might find a tremendous solution".
Especially "for a team that is in great need of good defenders" like Real Madrid itself. The absences in the heart of the defense have complicated Carlo Ancelotti's sports management since the current season began... and not many signings are anticipated next summer judging by the information from the newspaper MARCA and what has been revealed by Ramón de Mon.
