Tragedy in Endrick's Family: the Brazilian Suffers a Significant Loss

According to the news we're receiving, hard blow for Endrick and his family who haven't had a very happy Christmas. It was the French media, RMC Sports, that reported the tragedy. Maurício Nunes Gonçalves, brother-in-law of the Brazilian's older sister, has been murdered.

The events are said to have occurred this past Wednesday, December 25th, according to local media. Maurício was reportedly killed near the Brazilian capital, in Brasília. Witnesses indicate that he was shot several times in the head while he was in a bar.

They also point out that there was no prior argument between the killer and the victim that would have motivated the events. However, they do mention that up to eight shots were heard, although not much more has been revealed. Local authorities have indeed opened an investigation to find out what happened.

Endrick hasn't commented on the matter yet, but his sister has done so through social media. She wrote: “Today I only wanted to post positive and happy things. But unfortunately it won't be so.” She added that “today we say goodbye to a person whose life was cruelly cut short.”

Last summer, Endrick definitively joined Real Madrid as a new transfer. In fact, he was presented in a grand event at Santiago Bernabéu, just like Mbappé a few days earlier. In such an important moment, the Brazilian was joined by his family.

Among others was his sister, who didn't want to miss the moment, along with her partner, the late Maurício. Therefore, he also wanted to be part of such an important moment for Endrick. The forward had that support as could later be seen on social media.

As we've already mentioned, Endrick hasn't commented on this incident yet. However, it has undoubtedly been a tragedy for the former Palmeiras forward. His family won't have had a good Christmas after the murder committed on the 25th.
