Zidane Makes It Clear: His Future as a Coach is Linked to Real Madrid

One of the greatest legends in Real Madrid's history is undoubtedly Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman made history with the team both as a player and as a coach.  Despite being away from the benches for several years, the Frenchman has made an unexpected revelation about his future.

"I would only go to Real Madrid, if not, with the French National Team" were Zidane's words. Despite receiving numerous offers from various teams, the Frenchman has made his only desires clear. Waiting for his opportunity with the club or the national team, Zidane has demonstrated his remarkable patience.

Having made history with Real Madrid, his return wouldn't be frowned upon by the club given Ancelotti's probable departure. However, the desire to lead his country to success is too great for Zidane to ignore.

Zidane's future

Achieving several successes both with Real Madrid and the French National Team, Zidane is ready to lead these teams to success once again. At 52 years old, the Frenchman has been retired long enough to want to return to the benches. His rejection of the constant offers he received at the time was a clear indication of his intentions.

While his two tenures at Real Madrid were filled with successes, a third seems unlikely to happen. Although this is probably Ancelotti's last season, the club has other interests to replace him. One of the most prominent is Xabi Alonso, who has gained more and more momentum to replace the Italian coach.

The French National Team also presents its challenges, but Zidane remains hopeful. Earning his status as one of the best coaches in the world, the Frenchman is confident in fulfillling one of his great desires.

Despite the confidence, Zidane's return to the sidelines depends entirely on Real Madrid and the French National Team. Having to wait, at least until next summer, Zinedine Zidane's future is a great enigma.
