After the Debacle, Haaland Appears: They Link the Norwegian Again with Real Madrid

The Scandinavian footballer is a plausible option for the executives led by Florentino Pérez

Real Madrid continues to analyze the repercussions and consequences of their defeat against Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals. The leaders of the white squad anticipate certain changes in the first team, moves that would include the departure of one of the great forwards from Santiago Bernabéu locker room.

Meanwhile, the debate within the white entity would discuss the feelings regarding the continuity of two Brazilian players: Vinícius and Rodrygo Goes. Their discreet performance this season has also contributed to their being singled out, in line with another of the great forwards: the newly arrived Kylian Mbappé.

But the white '9' will not leave the Madrid squad after just one season as a first-team player. That's why in the Valdebebas offices they have the feeling that one of these two verdeamarelo strikers will leave the first team during this summer, an operation that would enable another desired transfer.

Because the departure of one of the Brazilian footballers would mean the entry of a significant amount of cash into Santiago Bernabéu coffers... as well as the release of a large part of the white squad's wage bill. Under these conditions, Real Madrid could afford the attempt to sign Erling Haaland.

Reappears as a Major Target

Despite the fact that he has recently renewed until the summer of 2034, strengthening his bond with the sky blue squad, many place Real Madrid in his orbit once again this spring. Manchester City's '9' would be the direct replacement for the merengue striker who leaves this season, although the departure of Vinícius would be the 'perfect' transfer for several reasons.

The first is the repositioning of Kylian Mbappé. Without Vinícius, the Bondy striker would finally return to the left wing, his natural position and favorite place on the field. At the same time, he would leave the center-forward position free for Erling Haaland to assume that role as soon as he arrives in Santiago Bernabéu locker room.

In any case, the incorporation of Erling Haaland into the white first team will not be an easy operation. Not only in the economic aspect, where a transfer exceeding 200 million euros would be required. At the same time, the Norwegian striker would not be for sale by the cityzen team.

This last one would be the most significant barrier that Real Madrid would have to overcome to have Erling Haaland as an attacking asset for the coming seasons. Thedeparture of one of their two great Brazilian stars would certainly pave the way, but there are other factors that need to be in favor before attempting that high-caliber signing.
