Alarms go off at Real Madrid, the factor that will determine if they win the World Cup
Xabi Alonso's team is training in extremely high temperatures: the heat is taking its toll on the players
The Club World Cup kicks off this Wednesday for Real Madrid. The white team will face Al-Hilal in what will be Xabi Alonso's debut on the Madrid bench. In addition, it will also be the first match for Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold wearing the white jersey.
The team, obviously, is already in the United States and is training in Florida in heat that's very much worth considering. Proof of this are the images of the footballers "suffering" while they go through the training session.

This, for many, hasn't gone unnoticed and some believe it'll be a factor to consider during this competition. Marcos Llorente, for example, mentioned this topic after his team's defeat against PSG. In fact, the team that best adapts to playing in these conditions could have a big advantage during this tournament.
At Valdebebas, they've been valuing and giving importance to this World Cup for quite some time. Florentino Pérez is especially excited that Real Madrid could be the first club to win the competition. It would be positive for reasons of reputation and, in addition, for economic reasons.
It brings in a lot of revenue and for that reason, beyond sporting motives, teams want to go far. It's true that Madrid's group stage is fairly manageable, but the knockout rounds will be challenging. If they advance, Juventus or Manchester City could be waiting in the round of 16.
Goodbye to Modric and Lucas
Both Luka Modric and Lucas Vázquez said goodbye to Bernabéu after the match against Real Sociedad, corresponding to the last league matchday. However, both will be present at this World Cup, which will be their last challenges as Real Madrid players. It'll be special for both of them without any doubt.

This way, both would be especially excited to end their time as Madridists with a title in hand. Modric himself referred to this after matchday 38 of the league and called it a last dance. Hopefully, it turns out as well as possible for him.
