Ancelotti, Excited After Beating Villarreal, Addresses the Squad: 'This...'
Real Madrid's coach congratulated his players for a victory that holds great value in La Liga
Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media after the match between Villarreal and RealMadrid, corresponding to the 28th round of LaLiga. The Madrid team achieved a significant victory in a challenging stadium with less than 72 hours of rest between matches.
"This team has something special, character and commitment. It doesn't always happen, and I get angry with them. We have to thank these players for their tremendous effort since January 3rd", said Carlo Ancelotti first.

"Today is the last time we're going to play a match without 72 hours of rest. We asked the League to change it twice, and nothing has happened", stated the Italian coach.
Real Madrid Won't Play Another Match With Less Than 72 Hours of Rest
Later, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed again that the team, if the same issue with the schedule repeats, will not show up.
"If the 72 hours of rest aren't met, would Madrid not show up for the match?", he was asked. "No", Carlo Ancelotti stated emphatically.
More Than Proud of His Players
"I'm very proud of my players because it was a tricky match due to everything that happened with the rest. Also because of the strength of the opponent, which is a team that plays very well. We held up physically, in the second half the team ended up exhausted, but it was normal", commented the Real Madrid coach.
"This victory says a lot about the team and the resources this squad has", added Carlo Ancelotti.
"We held up in the difficult moments: the start of the first half and the start of the second half. Then when we started to handle the ball better, we looked for opportunities, and Mbappé's two goals came in the first half. In the second half, we wanted to make more counterattacks", he stated.

Finally, Carlo Ancelotti commented that he will watch the match between Atlético and Barça as a soccer fan.
"It was important to win today. I'm going to watch it because it will be an entertaining match for a fan. Tomorrow I'm going to be a soccer fan", the coach stated.
