Ancelotti sends a hint to Florentino and sets a date for his return to Real Madrid

The Italian coach spoke again about Real Madrid in one of his most recent interviews

Carlo Ancelotti, current Brazil coach and former Real Madrid manager, left several messages to "France Football." The coach was asked about his past as a Madridist, his present with the "canarinha," and his future.

"For me, it has been easy to adapt. It's a different pace. When I arrived here, I found a very well-organized structure," he said.

"The obligation is to try, nobody has the obligation to win. Who in soccer has the obligation to win? In soccer, so many things can happen that change the result... I coached Real Madrid for six years and I didn't win six Champions Leagues, I won three," he explained about the 2026 World Cup.

About his last year at Real Madrid and coaching Vinícius

"It was complicated. We didn't win what we wanted. We had too many injuries in defense and it was difficult to build a solid team to support the quality in attack," he began.

"Militao, David Alaba, Mendy, Dani Carvajal... There were matches where I only had two defenders and one was Asencio, who had just come up from the academy although he performed well," he added.

"I have a fantastic relationship with Vinícius, he does what I ask and I've never had problems with him. When you coach a national team, you don't have those problems so often. If a player isn't happy with his role in the team, I call another one," Carlo Ancelotti explained.

He was also asked about Kylian Mbappé. "In one year, Mbappé never asked me for anything, not to take penalties, to play, not to play, to take free kicks... He had a season at a very high level, he scored 44 goals, but I think this second season will be better because he's already adapted and his teammates know him well," he pointed out.

He also talks about his future as a coach

"The only team I could coach after Brazil would be Real Madrid. I don't think that'll happen. I have one year left on my contract here and then anything can happen," he made clear.

Finally, Carlo Ancelotti was asked about his coaching style. "The style doesn't depend on the coach but on the players you have. Guardiola imposed a style with Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, and Messi," he began.

"Klopp also imposed a style, a soccer of intensity, of pressing, because he had players with those characteristics. Guardiola wouldn't have managed to impose his style with Klopp's players. Wanting to press with Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta, and Messi, Klopp wouldn't have managed it," he concluded.
