Ancelotti Will Go Out with 4 Big Surprises in the Starting Eleven Against Arsenal
The Reggiolo coach prepares his tactical plans for the quarter-final return at Santiago Bernabéu
Real Madrid Faces a Challenging Match: The Return Leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals Against Arsenal. The visit of Mikel Arteta's players to Santiago Bernabéu is the last opportunity for the white club to continue in the top European competition this season.
To achieve this, they will have to make something unprecedented happen: overcome a three-goal deficit. The previous attempt by the white squad fell just one goal short, a future many hope won't repeat itself tonight. Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly given the first hints of his starting eleven for that commitment.

According to information revealed by "Rodra," Real Madrid would have trained with a starting eleven full of particularities. Two of the changes introduced by the Italian coach are in the full-back positions, as Raúl Asencio would assume the duties on the right side... instead of Fede Valverde, who had been a regular in that position.
Meanwhile, David Alaba would repeat as left-back despite the irregular sensations recorded during the first quarterfinal match at Emirates Stadium. Carlo Ancelotti bets on the Austrian '4' due to Ferland Mendy's injury and the performance of Fran García, who doesn't completely "convince" the Madrid coaches.
Unexpected Modifications
The center-back line, according to the journalist from "Relevo", would be composed of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antonio Rüdiger. Again, the French '14', despite being a midfielder, would be enabled as the best available center-back. This arrangement would occur given that Raúl Asencio would act as right-back in the match against Arsenal.
The departure of Tchouaméni as an option for the midfield would restore one of Real Madrid's key players to his original position. Fede Valverde would return to the midfield after several matches as right-back, accompanying two players in that engine room: Jude Bellingham and Dani Ceballos.

The '19' regained sensations during the last five minutes of the match against Deportivo Alavés in Mendizorroza, a match in which he intervened after a knee injury. Despite being out for two months, Carlo Ancelotti understands that Dani Ceballos is ready to start against Arsenal in the match at Santiago Bernabéu.
Apart from these changes, Carlo Ancelotti would maintain the same scheme he has shown on great occasions this season. The 'Fantastic Four' would form again, along with these last-minute modifications, to achieve a comeback that seems practically impossible even hours before the match at the white coliseum.
