Ancelotti's Strong Statement About Vinícius's Future: 'There Is No…'

Ancelotti Weighs In on What Will Happen with the Brazilian at Real Madrid

The  aftermath of the classic and Real Madrid's qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals is still ongoing. However, the schedule doesn't allow for a break, and this Saturday, the Whites face Villarreal.  Little time for rest, much less than their direct rivals, Atlético and Barcelona.

Additionally, the echoes of the disallowed penalty against Julián Álvarez and the tantrum from the Colchoneros are still resonating. In that atmosphere, he attended the press in Valdebebas ahead of the match against Villarreal. He also had to address several questions about Vinícius.

One of them questioned him about the  problems he is having this season in important matches.  "He plays better or worse games, sometimes he fails, but he has been so important for this club,"  he began by saying. He reiterated that "there's no discussion, he's indisputable for me."

Therefore, he didn't enter the debate about whether he wasn't at his best against Atlético, especially after missing the penalty. Nor whether Mbappé is having a better season than the Brazilian. These are controversies that are not on the mind of Real Madrid's coach at the moment.

Vinícius Doesn't Train and Fear Spreads Among Madridists

With less than 72 hours of rest, Real Madrid faces Villarreal this Saturday at La Cerámica. An important match as it's a day when Barça and Atlético face each other. An opportunity to gain points on one or both direct rivals in the fight for La Liga.

But Vinícius didn't train this Friday and many have raised alarms about his presence. Ancelotti has confirmed that  they wanted to give him an extra day of rest. Additionally, he reiterated that "he's ready to play tomorrow,"  so there is no doubt.

In fact, he was also asked about the substitution against Atlético to bring Endrick onto the field.  Carletto indicated that he did it because Vini was very tired. Therefore, it makes sense for the '7' Merengue to have that extra day to recover after the classic.
