Ancelotti's reply after Modric's scolding to Vinícius: 'I'm always with...'
The Italian coach of Real Madrid spoke about the small argument Modric had with Vinícius.
Carlo Ancelotti appeared before the media after Real Madrid's agonizing victory in the Copa del Rey against CD Leganés (2-3). The Madrid team won in Butarque thanks to goals from Luka Modric, Endrick, and Gonzalo. The youth player, who came on in the 82nd minute, sealed his great debut this season with a memorable header.
"A very good job is being done in the youth academy. Raúl since he arrived, Jacobo, Gonzalo. We can count on them", the Italian commented after being questioned about Gonzalo and the rest of the youth players.
"It was a competitive match in which we started well, with a lot of effectiveness. At the back, we started worse, Jacobo was nervous, but then he was more accurate. Gonzalo is on a very good streak with Castilla and contributed tonight", he explained.

"We have to be proud of them. We have to count on them. Endrick scored and left a good impression, like Arda", reaffirmed Carlo Ancelotti.
About Luka Modric's scolding of Vinícius
During the match, a small moment of tension could be seen between Luka Modric and Vinícius. The Brazilian didn't drop back to defend in one of the opponent's attacks, which provoked the Madrid captain's anger. At that moment, the Croatian, with his great character, demanded greater defensive involvement from his teammate.
After the clash, Carlo Ancelotti was asked about this particular episode, and his reply was quite clear. "I don't know what happened, but whatever Modric says is fine. I'm always in agreement with him", he replied.
"Football-wise, the usual Vinícius; fresh, decisive when facing opponents, he provided an assist to Brahim. The card? Nothing new, all normal (laughs)", commented Carlo Ancelotti when asked about Vinícius.
The few rotations of Valverde and Tchouaméni's match
Additionally, Carlo Ancelotti was questioned about Fede Valverde. Despite the upcoming schedule, the Uruguayan played the entire match again.
"We have to think match by match. Valverde also contributes a lot as a full-back because he's a spectacular player. Wherever I put him, he performs", he explained.
Finally, Carlo Ancelotti also spoke about Tchouaméni's match, who returned to his natural position. "Tchouaméni contributes a lot to the team as a pivot, especially defensively. I told him not to be too happy (laughs)", he concluded.
