Arbeloa faces a problem with serious consequences for Castilla

Arbeloa already knows it: Castilla is going to have a big problem in its first season

Arbeloa faces a major challenge this season as he becomes the coach of Real Madrid Castilla. He will have the mission of continuing to give experience to the young Madridists, but now from the first reserve team. The truth is that excitement has skyrocketed from the very first minute with him.

However, Arbeloa will have to face a major problem that will have consequences for Castilla. This refers to the U-20 World Cup taking place this year in Chile. It will be held between September 27 and October 19, with a significant Madridist presence at the event.

Paco Gallardo, the coach, announced the preliminary list in May, with 26 players drafted. It included Fran González, Cristian David, and Pol Fortuny, as well as Chema Andrés and Jacobo Ramón. But the last two have left for Stuttgart and Como, respectively.

The main problem comes with the other three, if they are ultimately drafted to play in the World Cup. Real Madrid can't refuse to let them go with the Spanish national team due to the regulations. However, it can do so with other teams, as it already did with Álvaro Rodríguez or Nico Paz.

Concern at Real Madrid over what may happen.

The truth is that the fact that foreign teams can refuse is a cause for concern. According to sources close to Defensa Central, Madrid know that this works against them. It will increase the chances of their players being drafted.

This is a serious setback for Arbeloa since these are players who were going to be important in his plans. If they are drafted, and if Spain reach the final, they will miss 5 matches. Osasuna, Ponferradina, and Ourense away, and Tenerife and Pontevedra at the Di Stéfano.

Arbeloa will have to find a solution, although he trusts footballers who, in principle, should stay. This is the case of Jesús Fortea, whom he wants to give a leading role to this season at Castilla. He believes he can experience significant growth, even with the first team in mind.
