Arrigo Sacchi Reveals Why Florentino Won't Sign Huijsen
The Shocking Revelation Arrigo Sacchi Has Made About the Reason Why Dean Huijsen's Signing Won't Take Place
When talking about legendary coaches in this sport, Arrigo Sacchi is one of the main names to appear. Having made history with the Italian national team and, above all, with AC Milan, Sacchi is a respected voice in soccer. Such has been his importance that he even worked alongside Florentino Pérez at one point.
Serving as Head of Sports from 2004 to 2005, Sacchi has revealed that he knows Florentino Pérez well. This has led him to confirm that, looking ahead to the next market, the transfer of the young center-back, Dean Huijsen, will not take place. "He's a great president, but he focuses too much on forwards," were Sacchi's recent words.

"To convince him to sign Sergio Ramos, I had to fight for three months because he doesn't even look at defenders," he added. This made it clear that the reason for Huijsen's dismissal is the focus that Florentino Pérez continues to give to an already solid attack.
Florentino Pérez's Reason
At 20 years old, Dean Huijsen has established himself this season as one of the best young center-backs in Europe. In just his first campaign with Bournemouth, Huijsen has managed to play 2,350 minutes. A number that reflects the importance Huijsen quickly gained in the English squad.
Also making his debut with the Spanish national team, the potential Huijsen has for the future seems limitless. Even so, and despite the need for a center-back, Florentino has decided not to pursue his signing during the next market.

While this decision has surprised many people, Sacchi's words have hinted at Florentino's reasons. Despite having Mbappé, Vinicius, and Rodrygo as his offensive trio, Florentino seeks to continue strengthening the attack.
Huijsen's Dismissal
Whether or not Florentino Pérez's reasoning is understandable, the reality is that a center-back like Huijsen can't be dismissed. After all the problems the defense has had throughout this season, Real Madrid needs a center-back, not another striker.
