Arsenal 'cancels' Rodrygo's signing and they announce the signing of its plan B

Rodrygo closes the door to Arsenal for this summer with his future hanging in the air

Rodrygo's future was one of the big unknowns that have remained after the Club World Cup. He hasn't been a starter, except for his debut in the match against Al Hilal, where he was substituted. In the important matches, he has disappeared without playing a single minute against Salzburg or PSG.

This is evidence that for Xabi Alonso right now, he's a dispensable piece and that will be his role. That made his name start to be strongly mentioned as a possible departure this summer. Although one of his most feasible destinations no longer seems to be available.

The fact is that Arsenal was the team insisting the most on his possible signing this summer. Arteta wanted him to strengthen the attack, knowing the potential the former Santos player has. But they didn't want to wait any longer and have activated plan B, forgetting about the Madrid forward.

The Gunners are going to pay around €50 million (50 millones) to Chelsea for Chelsea's winger, Noni Madueke. It's a signing that Arsenal fans don't like because of his attitude problems. Unless they back out, it will close the doors of the Emirates to Rodrygo.

Rodrygo still has other options for this summer

It's true that Arsenal was the destination that sounded strongest for Rodrygo this summer. However, the fact that this door is closing doesn't mean he won't have more options. There are more interested teams that are willing to make a strong offer.

At Defensa Central, we've been able to confirm that PSG, Manchester City, and Bayern are closely following him. They're aware that if Madrid puts him up for sale, they could get a top star. They also have the financial power to pay the €100 million (100 millones) that the Madridists are asking for.

Liverpool have also joined as a possible destination for Rodrygo. Last summer, they were already tempting him in case he decided to leave Real Madrid. With the possible departure of Luis Díaz, they believe the Brazilian could be a good replacement.
