Bad Omen for Ancelotti and the Superstitious After the Madrid Derby Draw

It's no secret to anyone that this season for Madrid has been a total rollercoaster, which continues today. However, very few could have expected that by this point in the campaign everything would still be more or less the same. But now a fact has emerged that greatly worries both Ancelotti and the more superstitious members of the team.

This is because a curiosity has been revealed, and it's that Madrid currently has 50 points in LaLiga. While this doesn't seem absolutely outrageous, there is a precedent that shows otherwise. This is because no team in the last 14 with 50 points after their first 23 matches managed to win.

Obviously, this is a fact that can easily be broken with a stunning end to the season by the Merengues. However, seeing how they are performing today, it doesn't seem like this will happen and, in fact, everything could get more complicated.

They Have Everything Against Them

It was expected that with the rebound they had a few months ago, they could gain a significant advantage over Barça and Atlético.  However, it has been quite the opposite, and they have lost a considerable amount of points in the process.

Now, with this sum of points, it seems that historically they won't be able to win the championship, not even Real Madrid. Something that keeps the hope of anti-Madridists alive to prevent them from lifting the title again at the end of the season.

Obviously, this is something that has Ancelotti extremely worried, and he will look for a way to prevent it from happening. Although, seeing the situation clearly, it seems that everything will be much more complicated than it appears at first glance.

If Ancelotti wants to completely change the team's outlook, he has to start working from this next Champions match to get the campaign back on track. Otherwise, history will make itself known and prevent Real Madrid from retaining the league title. Something that hasn't happened in many years.
