Better than Mastantuono: Florentino Already Wants the Brazilian Kroos at Real Madrid

The Meringue president might have a new target for the 2025 summer market

Real Madrid has multiple objectives for the summer 2025 transfer market ahead. The summer period presents a new roadmap compared to four months ago, when the first team still hadn't presented several urgent issues that need to be solved immediately.

One of the most notable concerns Toni Kroos. The former "8" German decided to end his professional career at the end of last season, causing the club's midfield suffer a significant loss. Carlo Ancelotti, at least so far, hasn't been able to completely address that problem.

Betting on offensive and more direct soccer, the Reggiolo coach has bypassed the need for an organizing pivot until the end of this season. However, from the Valdebebas offices, they continue to explore the market for creative defensive midfielders. Martín Zubimendi is the first chosen option, although the txuri-urdin midfielder isn't alone on the list of potential candidates.

Because to the names of other players like Ryan Gravenberch, a sensation from Brazilian soccer has been added: Breno Bidon. The Corinthians midfielder, 19 years old, is delivering outstanding performances in the Brasileirão... attracting the attention of several elite European soccer teams.

Change of priorities

The information from journalist Ekrem Konur places teams like Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan, and FC Barcelona as the main interested parties in the player. So far, there are no further updates regarding his transfer, although all those teams "have watched many matches" of the player through the scouts stationed in the South American country.

With Breno Bidon on their list of potential candidates, the player losing ground to sign for Real Madrid is Franco Mastantuono. The River Plate attacking midfielder has consolidated himself in the Argentine First Division with the team, gradually becoming one of the leaders chosen by Marcelo Gallardo.

The distance taken from the Valdebebas offices regarding the Argentine "30" seems practically definitive for his arrival at the Madrid locker room. Since then, there haven't been any approaches to Franco Mastantuono due to the change of priorities recorded in the white leadership: an organizing pivot is needed to properly succeed Toni Kroos.

The first reports handled by the white board indicate that with the transfer of Breno Bidon, that objective would be achieved. The Corinthians player has a contract until summer 2028 and a market value of eight million euros. In any case, the interest of several major clubs will undoubtedly increase the transfer fee requested from the noble area of the Itaquerão stadium.
