Vinícius's Most Bitter Defeat, a Bad Memory for a Day That Was Supposed to Be Special

Vinícius had a discreet performance in the match against Real Betis. His low performance, combined with Real Madrid's defeat at Benito Villamarín, led the Brazilian forward to end the match frustrated. Additionally, the Brazilian was involved in several protests that cost him a new yellow card.

Although he initially didn't respond to the chants coming from the stands, Vinícius became more involved in the discussions toward the end of the match. First, he confronted Aitor Ruibal, angrily reproaching him for time-wasting. Later, he argued with the referee Hernández Hernández, who ended up showing him a yellow card in the final minutes of the match.

Shortly after, following a risky defensive intervention by Marc Bartra, Vinícius confronted the Catalan center-back. The argument continued during the next corner kick, at which point Antonio Rüdiger had to hold him back and pull him away. The German prevented another yellow card that would have taken the Carioca out of the match.

Finally, he was also involved in a scuffle at the end of the match. Meanwhile, the crowd at Benito Villamarín kept chanting "fool, fool, fool" in his direction.
