Bordalás Explodes, His Response After Antony's Pardon Will Be Talked About

José Bordalás has been very forceful with his statement about forgiving Antony

Soccer in Spain continues to generate a lot of noise, as errors are occurring both on and off the field.

Last weekend, Getafe and Real Betis played for three very important points, in a match where Antony was sent off.

"In the 94th minute, Antony was sent off for the following reason: For tackling an opponent from behind with no chance of playing the ball, using excessive force," wrote Javier Alberola Rojas in the report explaining the Brazilian's action against Juan Iglesias.

Re-Arbitrating the Plays

The problem is that the Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation decided to delve into the action and nullify the red card.

"After viewing the images, it is clear how the player D. Antony Matheus Dos Santos never stops looking at the ball that the opposing player is controlling, trying to intercept with his left foot the trajectory of the ball that the aforementioned opponent has just hit, without any intention of contacting the Getafe player being inferred in the impetuous action of the expelled player, but rather to make contact with the ball, even though he ultimately doesn't succeed," expressed the sole competition judge.

However, this, as expected, has caused all kinds of reactions, although the one who did not hesitate to speak out was José Bordalás.

"I don't usually comment on that aspect. In the end, they made that decision. I imagine there are people for or against it, but the rules are very clear: to give or attempt a kick. And at that moment, a kick was attempted because there was no possibility of reaching the ball. I have nothing more to say," expressed the Getafe coach.

Additionally, Bordalás has not been the only one to speak, as Carlo Ancelotti spoke at a press conference about this issue.

"What happened to Bellingham was an injustice. I'm not going to talk about Antony's case, it's not my place," assured the Reggiolo coach.

Ancelotti, like all of Madridism, feels strongly affected by this decision, especially since it is a rival they will face this Saturday in Seville.
