Nacho Peña's Brutal Blow to the 19 LaLiga Clubs After the Anti-Real Madrid Gathering

The journalist appeared on Cadena COPE after the turmoil caused by the white club's letter

Real Madrid has said "enough"  after the performance of Muñiz Ruiz and Iglesias Villanueva at the RCDE Stadium. The refereeing that the white club received in their match against Espanyol has caused a new outburst from the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez through a letter. The publication of that letter last Monday, addressed to RFEF and CSD, advocates for the regeneration of the refereeing group and access to the VAR audios of that match.

These requests would have been postponed, at least for now, by the CTA. The statements of Medina Cantalejo in "El Cafelito" made it clear that "any team" can request those materials "in a normal situation". That last requirement, judging by the CTA's decision, wouldn't have been met with Real Madrid's letter.

The analysis of this issue has caused opinions of all kinds. One of the latest to offer his particular view on the matter is the journalist Nacho Peña, who intervened in COPE pointing out that  "Real Madrid knows that it is alone in this. Just like in the 'Negreira case,' it considers that it is alone in the 'Negreira case'".

Juanma Castaño interrupts the panelist: "if it is alone maybe it's for a reason". Nacho Peña insists that Real Madrid "knows it. Because Real Madrid feels really affected by the Negreira issue, and the fact of having appeared only as a private prosecution has it very hurt" with the rest.

Stagnant situation

"What 'blows Real Madrid's mind' is the exercise of cynicism... Mr. Louzán, who has been very good, has sold us Disney today in the meeting, everyone hugging, all very good". Nacho Peña asks a rhetorical question: "I suppose no one else is going to complain about the refereeing, right?".

Thus, "Gil Marín is going to stop issuing statements, Laporta is not going to come out and say that a Clásico has to be repeated and that he was auditing the VAR audios". Nacho Peña also doesn't hesitate to point to "Mr. Haro, on Betis TV, I understand that they will never again talk about referees or audit the audios, right?". The journalist ventures that "all those so good and so virginal who were hugging Mr. Louzán today, I understand that from today, counter to zero, as he said".

That implies that  "they are not going to talk about the referees again, because if not, they will be exposed. At least Real Madrid is straightforward, it puts a letter and moves forward". At the same time, Nacho Peña is clear on how to qualify "these three, these three examples I just mentioned" with a very strong adjective:  "I find them fake".

Real Madrid remains trapped in the endless refereeing controversy for several years. The outbreak of the 'Negreira case', as well as the letter published at the beginning of this week, has increased the attacks on the club and an apparent resistance to the regeneration of the refereeing group.
