Cafú Stands up for Vinícius and Lashes out against Racism in the Soccer World
The words with which Cafú has expressed his opinion on the situation Vinícius continues to face with racism
Since his arrival at Real Madrid, Vinícius Júnior has had to face countless problems. One that has remained constant has been, unfortunately, racism and the attacks directed at the player. This has given rise to a fight that the player continues to battle. And for which Cafú, a legend of Brazilian soccer, has offered his opinion.
"What they have done to him is a very delicate situation," were his words about what Vinícius experiences every day. Clearly showing his anger at racism in Spanish soccer, Cafú didn't hesitate to offer his support to his compatriot. "A young black man, who came from a favela, poor, who conquered the world... facing this terrible reality."
Through these words, the former Milan defender exploded against the growth of racism. Recognizing that even in Brazil they have these problems, Cafú was adamant in his annoyance toward an attitude that must be eliminated.
Cafú's opinion
Being a true legend of Brazilian soccer, Cafú is a highly respected figure in his country. The two-time world champion, among all the tasks he has undertaken since his retirement, highlights his intentions to improve the image of Brazilian soccer. A complicated task due to the racism that, to this day, still exists in this sport.
Aware of the insults and attacks that Vinícius always receives, Cafú showed his weariness with these types of attitudes. Supporting the player at all times, the former right-back expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that racism is something cultural.
Similarly, Cafú made it clear that the fight Vinícius started to eradicate racism was a big step forward. Firmly believing in Vinícius's conviction, the Brazilian legend trusts that racism will be eradicated in the future.
A problem that must cease to exist
Racism is something that has existed in soccer for many years, being a very serious problem that hasn't been eradicated. Seeking to improve this sport not only for himself but for all players, Vinícius has shown more confidence in continuing his fight.
