Call to Florentino Pérez: the '9' Barça wanted has been offered to Real Madrid

Florentino Pérez has received an important call that would make a center forward readily available for Xabi Alonso

Xabi Alonso's Real Madrid is taking shape, which is making Madridists excited ahead of the Club World Cup.

Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the new faces at the club, although they won't be the only ones.

The Basque coach hasn't made it clear which system he'll use, but Florentino Pérez is working on strengthening his squad.

"Soccer today asks you to be flexible, dynamic, to know how to move pieces before and during the match. Of course I have an idea of how we want to play, but that fixed picture of the system can sometimes change into something more dynamic. But I do want the team to show emotion, energy, ambition... and to connect with the people. That symbiosis we're looking for is going to be essential for this stage to start well. Will we play with four? With three? We'll see. We have good players, people who'll interpret the idea well and work hard. I like that," said the Tolosa native.

The search for the 9

Beyond Xabi Alonso's bet, Florentino Pérez is looking for a box striker, one who complements Mbappé, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham and also provides more variety, which was so lacking for Carlo Ancelotti's team.

Ante Budimir or Patrik Schick are the options that've been considered to strengthen Madrid's attack.

However, in the last few hours, it's been revealed that Jürgen Klopp has called the club to offer Benjamin Sesko.

This offer was something Real Madrid didn't expect, especially because the RB Leipzig player is also wanted by Barcelona, so his arrival at Madrid would be a major blow for Joan Laporta and Hansi Flick.

Benjamin Sesko has a profile that would fit perfectly with Xabi Alonso's idea, since he's strong in the air and can play with his back to goal, but his asking price is a problem.

The Slovenian forward, who was already tracked in the past by Juni Calafat, has an asking price of 110-132 lbs. (50-60 kilos), a figure Madrid don't intend to reach.
