Carvajal doesn't hold back and confesses what his greatest wish is as Real Madrid's captain

The Spanish footballer announces his next major goal as a Merengue footballer

One of the players Madridists have missed for much of the 24/25 season is Dani Carvajal. Leganés's "2" was injured during the opening stages of the current soccer season, a triple tear that has kept him away from the field until now. Little by little, his recovery is nearing its end and the possibility of his return is very real.

Looking ahead to the near future, Dani Carvajal has made it clear what his dream is as Real Madrid's captain. After all, he is one of the most veteran footballers and he is set to take that place of honor in the first team due to Luka Modric's future departure. Carvajal will be established as the first Madridist captain starting in the 25/26 season.

Fully aware of the responsibility that comes with that "role", the homegrown Madridist makes it clear that one of his greatest dreams is to "lift" a trophy with Real Madrid himself. Even though he has celebrated many successes since his permanent arrival in the white locker room during the 13/14 campaign, he has experienced very few of them as first team captain.

Now he has the chance to do so by taking advantage of the Club World Cup. In fact, winning that tournament organized by FIFA during the coming months of June and July is also on the list of pending dreams for the veteran Madridist right back. "Winning the Club World Cup" is becoming a competitive aspiration shared by the entire first team.

Two very clear goals

After all, it is an excellent opportunity to make up for, almost instantly, most of the mistakes made during the current soccer season. The 24/25 campaign hasn't been particularly remarkable in terms of competitive success, especially compared to the high expectations caused last summer.

The performance of Carlo Ancelotti's players at the time could be corrected during the Club World Cup, now under Xabi Alonso's tactical leadership, with the return of players like Carvajal. The Spanish footballer is clear that Real Madrid must return to the top of the soccer elite and that competition organized by FIFA is the fastest way.

That's why, if he wins the Club World Cup with Real Madrid this very summer, it could be said that Dani Carvajal has fulfilled a dream. Beyond his impeccable record with the first Madridist team, Leganés's "2" has been waiting for the chance to become world champion for four years. One of the teams capable of doing so is Real Madrid.

Now all that remains is to wait for time to pass and face the preparation for this tournament that, at least for Real Madrid, will begin next June 18. The coaching change is a change in competitive dynamics, but Dani Carvajal says he is ready for the new challenges ahead... both collectively and individually: now he will have to compete against Trent Alexander-Arnold for the starting spot at right back.
