Bellingham Caught 'Negotiating' a Real Madrid Transfer and It's Not Alexander-Arnold
The English midfielder has an excellent relationship with this player
Real Madrid trusts its board of directors and its emissaries when negotiating all the transfers necessary to strengthen the first team in the market. This is how most of those additions have been achieved in the club's history. However, things have changed considerably over time.
Now players also take part in those negotiations for the team change... although they do it in their own way and by taking advantage of social media. In Real Madrid's case, one of the most recent and striking examples is Jude Bellingham.
The arrival of the English '5' was forged thanks to the offer sent from the Valdebebas offices. However, the Meringue proposal was lower in terms of transfer and salary for the young Brit, an aspect in which Real Madrid can hardly compete with state clubs. Especially those in the Premier League, which were very interested in getting the services of the former Borussia Dortmund player.
The definitive 'yes' to Real Madrid's approach came from Bellingham's personal circle. He and his parents, Mark and Denise, were convinced that it was the best for the career in the elite of the 'pride of Birmingham'. So far, they haven't been wrong, but they weren't the only ones with that idea: Vinícius influenced a lot.
It's very close
The constant comments and messages on social media from the verdeamarelo player ended up convincing the Bellinghams to sign for Real Madrid. Now that the merengue '5' is fully settled in Santiago Bernabéu locker room, he would be replicating that activity to secure a transfer: Alphonso Davies.
The friendship that unites Jude Bellingham and Alphonso Davies allows both players to maintain some contact through social media. That bond would have become one of the best persuasion tools that the white club has at its disposal, especially in a transfer that is not very clear.
Because the competition to sign Davies himself, encouraged from his professional circle, generates some tension in the Valdebebas offices. Madrid will want a definitive answer about his future during the month of January, when they send him a contract proposal to acquire his services in July 2025.
The efforts of Jude Bellingham, to which others like David Alaba, Toni Kroos, and Vinícius Jr. have also joined, could be key in changing the course. The incorporation is still not assured, something the merengue executives want to change as soon as possible.
