Ceballos's standoff with Florentino over his move to Betis: new gesture to the Andalusians

Ceballos is getting closer to Betis again; he no longer hides it

We're approaching the final stretch of the transfer market and there are still some matters to solve. At least at Real Madrid, where they're not going to have a calm ending as they expected. There are still players whose futures remain uncertain.

This is the case for  Dani Ceballos, who has seen his role in the team diminish under Xabi Alonso. Against Osasuna, he was only brought on in the final moments, with very few minutes left to play. This keeps him looking at the market, with Betis as his main target.

To such an extent that he has surprised everyone with the hint he sent to the verdiblanco side. A Twitter profile called Actualidad Bética published a message pointing to Dani. "We really need Ceballos, because someone has to move the team," they wrote.

A reflection following last Monday's match against Elche, in which they couldn't get past a 1-1 draw. It seems that Dani has been paying attention, as he reacted with a "like". The profile completed this exchange with another message: "Ceballos knows things, we're waiting for you."

Xabi Alonso doesn't want Ceballos to leave

It's true that it doesn't seem like Xabi Alonso sees Ceballos as his number one priority for the midfield. However, the man from Tolosa has informed the club of his intentions not to let him leave. He believes he can be a useful player throughout the season.

Especially because he doesn't have many midfielders who are good on the ball. That's why losing someone like Ceballos could be very bad for the team. The player from Utrera could push in the final stretch to force his departure.

If next weekend against Oviedo he doesn't get many minutes, he might see things clearly. He wants to have more playing time, thinking about his chances to return to Luis De La Fuente's list. Especially considering that 2026 is a World Cup year.
