Surprise: Chelsea prepares a massive swap deal, Rodrygo and two others set to join immediately
The two players Chelsea is willing to let go in order to sign Rodrygo Goes
A new Premier League offeror has joined Rodrygo Goes's list. After Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, Chelsea has now shown its interest in the Brazilian. After winning the World Cup, the London club is looking to strengthen itself through a swap deal, requesting Rodrygo in exchange for João Félix and Christopher Nkunku.
Two players who, despite the initial expectation, didn't manage to perform as was desired. According to what we know at Defensa Central, Rodrygo Goes hasn't made a decision for next season yet. Even so, the little trust Xabi Alonso has in him has influenced a more than likely departure this summer.
Signing Rodrygo would be a great move by Chelsea, strengthening its attack with a top-level player. However, both João Félix and Nkunku are players who aren't at Real Madrid's level, so the proposed swap raises doubts.
A doubtful operation
At 24 years old, Rodrygo Goes remains a very high-quality striker at Real Madrid. Despite the inconsistent season he had, the player has the potential to return to his best version. Fast, intelligent with the ball, and with a great strike, Rodrygo is one of the most decisive players in the world.

The same can't be said for João Félix, who after leaving Benfica has jumped from team to team. Atlético de Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Milan are some of the clubs he has played for, being a disappointment in all of them as he has fallen short of expectations.
Christopher Nkunku, meanwhile, has been losing prominence as the seasons go by. Arriving at Chelsea in 2023, Nkunku was left behind João Pedro in the World Cup after the latter's great performance, scoring more goals than the Frenchman.
Real Madrid's analysis
Although Real Madrid has always managed to get the best potential out of all its players, this is because the club chooses them carefully. Despite the potential that Félix and Nkunku managed to show, both raise more doubts than solutions.
