Confirmed by His Agent: Real Madrid Has a New Player
Real Madrid is about to trasnfer Tel Aviv basketball player, Bruno Caboclo, Hapoel
Real Madrid is on the verge of transfering a new player. Bruno Caboclo's agent, Daniel Hazan, has confirmed that the Brazilian is on his way to the club. "He is on his way to Real Madrid," Hazan said in an interview with Sports Channel.
Caboclo, 29 years old, has had a turbulent career in Europe. After his time at Ratiopharm Ulm, he wanted to go to Reyer Venezia but never made his debut due to his failed attempt to return to the NBA.
Then he joined Partizan Belgrade for a year, but his stay in Serbia was also brief. The power forward moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv just three months ago, but his current situation seems to be coming to an end.
Delicate situation
The player hasn't been a first team player in recent games. Despite Hapoel's victory over Besiktas in the Eurocup, Caboclo played less than 12 minutes in three consecutive games.
This has led to tensions with the new coach, Dimitris Itoudis. This has made it clear that the player is not being fully exploited in Israel.
As for his future, Hazan has stated that Real Madrid are in talks with Hapoel Tel Aviv. "We hope to close the deal within 72 hours," the agent stated. He also revealed that there are other offers on the table, including one from Panathinaikos, but Caboclo's destiny seems to be in Madrid.
Despite the negotiations, Israel says Caboclo's exit will not be easy. George Hynas, Hapoel's General Manager, said they haven't received any formal offer yet.
Furthermore, Ofer Yannay, owner of the Israeli club, made it clear to fans that they have no intention of selling Caboclo.
Despite the club's resistance, Caboclo's arrival at Real Madrid seems imminent. The player will join a team that continues to expand its roster with an eye on the Euroleague and national competitions.
