Confirmed: Xabi Alonso gets his favorite for the midfield, he’ll be available against Tirol

Xabi wants to have him available against Tirol; it will be the ultimate test for the season

Real Madrid faces the last week of preseason before its league debut against Osasuna. Los Merengues have had a different summer after their participation in the Club World Cup. That's why Xabi Alonso is trying to make the most of the opportunities he's having.

They're only going to play two friendlies, one of which was already held behind closed doors last Friday against Leganés. The only open one will be this Tuesday, against Tirol, and it will be the definitive test. There won't be any more rehearsals until the 19th, when they'll make their league debut against Osasuna at Bernabéu.

In that match against Tirol, Xabi wanted to have by his side one of his favorites for the midfield. We're referring to Thiago Pitarch, who's delighted everyone in Valdebebas. To such an extent that he's already completed two double training sessions with the first team.

The idea is that for the remainder of preseason, he won't go back down and will stay under Xabi's orders. In fact, in the friendly this Thursday against Tirol, he could use him if he considers it appropriate. This is great news for Madridists who want to see the midfielder from La Fábrica.

The club wants to be cautious with Pitarch

At Real Madrid, they're delighted after seeing the performance Pitarch is having this summer. Arbeloa already backed him last season and will do the same again in Castilla. But also Xabi Alonso, who's going to keep a very close eye on him to see his performance.

It won't be surprising to see Pitarch training with the first team throughout this season. He could even be included in some squad lists or get minutes in the early rounds of the Copa del Rey. However, they don't want to rush things since he's still a very young player.

Inside the club, they want to be cautious and not put pressure on Pitarch from the start after his good summer. They know they need to be patient and that this season, if he gets minutes in Castilla, it will be good for him. After all, we're talking about a player who will have a Juvenil A registration.
