Controversial Prank with Vini as the Protagonist, Mundo Deportivo in the Spotlight

December 28th is pranks day in Spain, jokes that have varying degrees of taste. In the press, it's common to see some of these, outrageous things like transfers that seem impossible. Some usually provoke more controversy than expected.

That's what happened this time with Mundo Deportivo, the Barça newspaper that went after Vinícius. They considered him the best protagonist they could use for their prank. Although perhaps not everyone will take it the same way due to its questionable taste.

From the headline, they made it clear they were going all out against Real Madrid and the Brazilian. "Vinícius signs a million-dollar pre-contract with PSG for the next 10 seasons!" they wrote. An operation that supposedly took place in China during the holidays.

Although at no point in the news do they say it's a prank and a joke, it's clear. They try to dress it up by claiming it's information they've been able to discover. However, considering the relations with PSG, it might not be well-received.

They could've made a prank with Messi, Laporta, Piqué... the list was endless, but they chose Vinícius. And not only that, but they've also included some enemies in all of it. It seems they've wanted to settle all the pending scores they have.

They claim he traveled "to China in a private plane, provided by Luis Figo." We already know the Portuguese is one of the names Barça has stuck in their minds. That's why they've wanted to involve him in a revenge they haven't yet carried out.

However, they also bring in Neymar, upset because he chose to go to PSG instead of staying in Barcelona. They claim that "Neymar's role is clear in the operation." And finally, Mbappé also has his role since Vinícius "will take the number '77' to avoid coinciding with the '7' the French wore."
