Ongoing sale: millions rain down on Real Madrid and it's not Rodrygo

Real Madrid closely watching an important deal that would bring in a lot of money

In the final stretch of the transfer window, Real Madrid is still paying close attention to several important deals. In terms of arrivals, no new signings are expected unless there is a major surprise. However, when it comes to possible departures, there are indeed several names that have been singled out.

First of all, Rodrygo, although the player who seems likely to bring in the most millions is someone else. It's Nico Paz, who could be the big sensation of the final stage of the transfer window. That was despite the fact that it seemed he was going to stay at Como during this season.

However, Tottenham has burst onto the scene, having lost its desired target for the forward position. Mainly Eberechi Eze, with whom they had an agreement to sign him for €70 million. But in the end, they missed out on him as he went to Arsenal.

Faced with that disappointment, they have set their sights on Nico Paz and are willing to make a major outlay. This is something Real Madrid would be watching very closely since they still keep half of his rights. That would allow them to receive a significant amount of millions if the transfer is finalized.

Real Madrid Opposes His Signing by Tottenham

It's true that the sale of Nico Paz to Tottenham would bring a large amount of money to the Merengue club. But Real Madrid doesn't look favorably on that transfer taking place. The reason is that they wanted him to stay one more season at Como for several reasons.

First, because they saw him as a possible signing for the 2026–2027 season. For that, they wanted to see if he would keep progressing as he has shown in his Serie A debut. He was the big revelation last season and that's why he was even rumored to return to Real Madrid this summer.

Among other things, because Madrid would have a lot of ease in achieving that by keeping half of his rights. In addition, they signed a buy-back clause that also made the deal easier. But if he goes to Tottenham, they'll lose all those options for next year.
