Dani Ceballos Returns but 'Threatened,' Ancelotti Calls Him Out

The footballer from Utrera is on notice, and if he receives a yellow card in his return against Alavés, he will miss the next matchday

Dani Ceballos Returns to a Real Madrid Squad After 45 Days Out Due to Injury. The Andalusian midfielder has received medical clearance and will be available for the match against Alavés.

His return comes with an important warning:  if he sees a yellow card, he will miss the clash against Athletic Club at Bernabéu.

The footballer was injured on February 26. It was in the last minute of the match against Real Sociedad, in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals, played at Anoeta. He suffered a tear in the semimembranosus muscle, affecting the tendon in his left leg.

After more than a month of work, Ceballos has passed the medical tests. This Thursday he trained normally, and Ancelotti has decided to include him in the list for the duel against Alavés.

He Won't Be a Starter, but He Will Get Minutes

The coaching staff's plan is clear. Ceballos won't start as a starter. He will get minutes in the second half. The idea is for him to gradually regain his form and build confidence for what's to come.

The goal is for him to be in good shape for the match against Arsenal at Santiago Bernabéu. The second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals will be crucial, and Ceballos could play an important role from the bench.

However, Carlo Ancelotti has been direct with him. Ceballos is on the verge of suspension. If he sees a yellow card against Alavés, he won't be able to play against Athletic Club in La Liga. With several rotations planned for that match, it could be a missed opportunity.

The Italian coach has asked him for calm, focus, and commitment. He wants him to play with intensity but without unnecessary risks. The club can't afford more absences in such a demanding final stretch.

Confidence in His Role

Ceballos has worked hard to return. At Valdebebas, they trust in his talent and see it as possible that he will be useful in these final matches. His return strengthens the midfield at a decisive moment.

Real Madrid needs everyone.  Ceballos, although he arrives just in time, wants to contribute. To do so, he must manage his minutes well... and avoid that card that would leave him out of the next league commitment.
