The Dani Olmo Case About to Explode and It's Official: CSD Will Speak in 10 Days

The controversy continues in Spanish soccer over the case of Dani Olmo, although it is very close to reaching its end.

In recent hours, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, President of the Higher Sports Council, spoke about this story, although he didn't give many details of the final decision.

"We, in case of doubt, decided to apply a Roman principle, from Roman law and medicine, which is 'primum non nocere,' first, do no harm. And we think that there was, and that's what the Sports Law says, a need to protect and care especially for athletes," expressed the head of the CSD.

Meanwhile, Javier Tebas, as expected, replied to these words and offered his view to the media.

"We have argued that he shouldn't have played. What happens? The Secretary of State said this morning that for the good of the athlete... There were two precautionary measures, and both said that Olmo knew the consequences when he signed his contract in August. How can a precautionary measure be granted to a player who signed that if he wasn't registered, he would be free to sign with another club? The tool that depends on competitions said he couldn't be registered, just like if a club has 25 slots and wants to register the 26th player. What Will Happen with Dani Olmo's Case?

The provisional permit obtained by Dani Olmo, but also Pau Víctor, is very close to expiring, so it will soon be known what will happen with both until the end of the season.

The Higher Sports Council, which is evaluating the substance of the matter, must make its decision public, at the latest, by April 7.

This will clearly set a precedent, as if they rule in favor of LaLiga, Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor will end the season in the stands.
