The Dutch midfielder has become a financial problem for Barça. With a high salary and deferred wages, the club spends around 35.5 million euros per year on De Jong. This situation has led Deco to evaluate his sale.

Opportunity if it is at zero cost

Although they consider it highly unlikely to transfer De Jong, Real Madrid doesn't rule it out completely. If the player becomes available, the white club could enter the bidding. Barça's financial situation could make De Jong available at a reduced price.

Real Madrid has constantly been interested in De Jong, but the club hasn't made any serious moves so far. Although a transfer seems far away, Barça's financial situation and the possibility of De Jong being released make him an interesting option for the future.
