Definitive K.O.: Carlo Ancelotti's Friend Confirms the Transfer Has Fallen

The Italian strategist gets an unexpected novelty before the arrival of the first transfer window in 2025

Real Madrid has several transfer options ahead during the upcoming 2025 markets. While it's true that the board led by Florentino Pérez isn't ready to make a move in January, the pace of rumors is relentless.

In that sense, the current personnel urgencies experienced by the first team are significant. Even to the point of considering bringing back old names that were previously discarded. One of the most notable in this regard is Aymeric Laporte: the Spanish central defender is highly favored by Carlo Ancelotti.

So much so that the Reggiolo coach would have requested his incorporation at the Valdebebas offices... However, the white bosses would have rejected it. Not only because he doesn't fit the profile sought in the market, but also due to the high transfer fee requested by his team.

Considering the situation Laporte is in, Pérez has made it clear that he will only get his services as a free agent. This stance from the white leadership has also precipitated the decision made by the current Al-Nassr coach, Stefano Pioli.

Definitely discarded

The transalpine coach has requested the Saudi club to reject all offers that come for Aymeric Laporte. The reason is that Laporte is a essential player for the defense of the Saudi club, so Pioli would have flatly refused to let him go.

The information published by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur means Real Madrid loses all options to sign Laporte himself. Moreover, that decision would have reached the white club ahead of time, since Pioli and Ancelotti are united by a close friendship.

The insistence of the Italian strategist at Real Madrid on transfer Al-Nassr's '27', known by many, would have motivated the revelation of this scoop to the white club ahead of time. With one less possible target in the transfer market, the roadmap must be modified again.

Now it seems clearer than ever that the executives led by Florentino Pérez will seek players who can provide both quality and longevity. Carlo Ancelotti's demands, in search of reinforcements for the core of his defense, can still be heard in the Valdebebas offices... although they will be solved in the summer.
