Van Dijk Clarifies Alexander-Arnold's Future Once and for All
The Dutch defender dedicated a few words to his teammate regarding his possible departure from Liverpool
Liverpool's center-back, Virgil Van Dijk, praised his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Brit scored a volley goal last weekend that secured his team's victory over Leicester City.
Liverpool's key trio, consisting of Mohammed Salah, Van Dijk, and Arnold, has been involved in intense negotiations. However, the Egyptian and the Dutchman signed new contracts to continue their time in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Arnold's future remains uncertain, and everything points to him joining Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

"When he scores such an important goal like that, I think he deserves applause for stepping up at that particular moment. Whether he stays or goes, these are moments that shouldn't be taken for granted to give us the opportunity, as a team, to finish it on Sunday", commented Van Dijk.
Van Dijk Doesn't Believe Arnold Can Stay at Liverpool
"Whatever happens in the future with him, it's something he'll have to solve with himself and his family. At this moment, he's a Liverpool player and is very important for our team", said Van Dijk.
The possibility of Arnold leaving as a free agent had caused discomfort among the club's fans on social media. However, Van Dijk showed his support for the English international. "He should be remembered for all the good he's achieved at the club", explained the defender.
"He's been important throughout the season and today, once again, he returned from a long injury, and that's what makes me happy... Since I arrived at the club, he's been a fantastic player and there are many good things for which he will always be remembered if he decides to leave", he concluded.
He Will Win the Premier League Before Leaving
Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave for Real Madrid after lifting the Premier League with Liverpool. Arne Slot's pupils, who have had no rival in the current campaign after City's slump, could be champions if they win on Sunday.

Currently, Liverpool has a 13-point lead over Arsenal. The 'red' team hosts Tottenham at Anfield with five games remaining. It will matter little what the 'gunners' do in their match if Trent Alexander-Arnold and company win in their commitment.
