Edu Aguirre Unleashed, His Message About Real Madrid After the Thrashing: 'before...'

The well-known panelist from 'El Chiringuito' praised the Madrid team after the match against City.

Real Madrid secured their place in the Champions League round of 16 with authority. The white team completed the great work done in the first leg, surpassing Manchester City with an impressive superiority at Santiago Bernabéu (3-1).

In just over 30 minutes, Carlo Ancelotti's pupils decided the tie with a brilliant double from Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman's performance didn't end there, as in the second half he completed his second hat-trick in the Madrid jersey. The current European champion now awaits their next opponent, which will come from Friday's draw between Atlético or Bayer Leverkusen.

Edu Aguirre, Impressed with Real Madrid

Edu Aguirre made his expected appearance on the set of "El Chiringuito" after Real Madrid's victory at Santiago Bernabéu. The well-known Madridist panelist was full of praise for a Kylian Mbappé who had made history with the white jersey.

"Very well. I think today was a statement that the whole world has seen, although some try to downplay it. I'm not talking about Guardiola, because I loved his last statement, but there are some who try to downplay it", commented Edu Aguirre.

"Josep, we all knew that Madrid had the best players in the world and today they showed they have the best team in the world. Madrid is the best team in the world because, finally, they played as a team for ninety minutes. It was no longer 'Vinícius gets it, let's see what he does, Mbappé gets it, let's see what he does...'", he explained.

Praise for Kylian Mbappé After His Performance

"Madrid is the best team in the world and Mbappé is going to mark an era with Madrid. It's so obvious that those who said they were going to fight in the locker room now say that Madrid doesn't compete. The whole world has seen that he scored three goals while walking", he stated.

"If Madrid needed six today, they'd score six. If Madrid came from City's field with a 4-0 against, today they'd score five or six. They have run over them and played the perfect match in Europe", he commented.

"Mbappé has led the team and has been that 'killer' we all expected him to be. He gets along very well with his teammates, but he has that selfish point and that killer instinct that I like. Today there were two or three times he could have passed and he went for it", concluded Edu Aguirre.
