Enzo Fernández no, Mac Allister yes: The Guardian announces how the midfielder's signing is going
The revelation that The Guardian has made about the progress in the operations for Enzo Fernández and Alexis Mac Allister
After Kroos's retirement at the end of last season, Real Madrid has been in search of a reinforcement for the midfield. With several targets throughout the season, Real Madrid has analyzed two players. Enzo Fernández and Alexis Mac Allister are the midfielders who have gained the most interest from the club.
However, according to information from The Guardian, the signing of Enzo Fernández has been ruled out. This is because Chelsea, knowing Enzo's importance, has no intention of selling him. Additionally, upon learning about Real Madrid's interest, Chelsea will block any attempt the club makes to carry out his signing.
In light of this, Alexis Mac Allister has remained the favorite to strengthen Real Madrid's midfield. Even so, being a key player for Liverpool, his departure from the club would be extremely complicated and too expensive for the club's finances.

Real Madrid's midfield future
At 24 years old, Enzo Fernández is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Being part of Chelsea since 2023, his importance has been so great that his current contract runs until 2032. A long-term agreement aimed at preventing his departure, sending a clear message from Chelsea to teams like Real Madrid.
Although Enzo's signing would be a top-level reinforcement for the midfield, Real Madrid is aware that his transfer will not be possible. That's why, looking toward the summer, Alexis Mac Allister is the main target as he is a much more experienced player than Enzo.

At 26 years old, the titles he has won with the Argentine national team and Liverpool are proof of his talent. However, despite Real Madrid's admiration for him, his contract until 2028 and market value are issues to consider for the club.
The issues with Mac Allister
Completely ruling out Enzo's signing, all of Real Madrid's attention is focused on Mac Allister's transfer. An operation that, despite its difficulties, hasn't been ruled out by a Real Madrid that is an expert in making signings that seem impossible.
