Fabrizio announces it and it's official: Real Madrid confirms its decision on Nico Paz
The Argentine footballer will remain a Como player for one more season
Despite rumors about his possible return to Real Madrid, Nico Paz will remain at Como for one more season. The Argentine midfielder will continue under Cesc Fàbregas's orders at one of the clubs with the most "hype" ahead of next season.
According to Fabrizio Romano on his social media, Real Madrid has already informed Como that they won't activate his €8 million clause. For this reason, the Italian club will keep counting on the extraordinary footballer, while the Madrid side could execute its buy-back next season for €9 million.
It remains to be seen if in a year Real Madrid is interested in executing the purchase option for the player who has been the best under-21 footballer in Italy.
Nico Paz will remain at Como for one more season
In addition to Real Madrid's interest, other clubs like Inter Milan had also knocked on the footballer's door. However, Como flatly refused, since they consider the player essential to the project.
Nevertheless, at Como they are very aware of the decision-making power Real Madrid has over Nico Paz. They also know the player's thoughts, as he has always made it clear that he wants to succeed at Santiago Bernabéu.
Nico Paz took advantage of his first season in the elite
After being sold for about €6 million, Real Madrid kept the player's rights in case he stood out in Italy. So far, that's been the case. In Italy, he played 36 out of 38 matchdays, starting in the vast majority under Cesc Fàbregas's orders and generating 14 goals for his team.

Nico Paz joined a newly promoted Como and managed to establish the club in the middle of the table. Now, the project has grown even more and this season's goal seems to be fighting for European positions.
If he keeps those numbers, Real Madrid would have to seriously consider the buy-back of a player who has enough ability to succeed in Spain.Nico Paz faces another very important test. This isn't his breakthrough season; it's his season of consolidation.
