Fabrizio Romano Announces It: Ancelotti Just Signed After Florentino's OK

The Italian coach has signed his contract with the Brazilian Football Federation to be the new head coach

Carlo Ancelotti already has a new destination.  The Italian coach has officially signed with the Brazil national team, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The agreement was finalized after receiving the green light from Florentino Pérez, who has facilitated the coach's departure from Real Madrid after this season.

He Will Take Charge in June

Ancelotti will assume his new role in June 2025, right after concluding his tenure with the white team. His debut with the Canarinha will be in the World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador (June 3) and Paraguay (June 8).

With this move, the Italian coach will not lead Madrid in the Club World Cup, scheduled for the summer in the United States.

The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) has reached an agreement that keeps the conditions agreed upon in 2023. Ancelotti will earn about 10 million euros a year, a figure similar to what he currently receives at Real Madrid.

The contract is valid until the 2026 World Cup, although a possible renewal until 2030 is considered if the results are favorable.

Florentino Already Knew

Florentino Pérez was aware of Ancelotti's intention for months. The president of Real Madrid has chosen not to interfere in the decision and has given his full approval to the coach's future plan.

In Valdebebas, work is already underway on the replacement on the white bench, although it has not yet been announced who will be his successor.

With Ancelotti, the Brazilian national team seeks to regain its identity and return to the top. The Italian arrives with an enviable track record and the respect of the great names in world soccer.

Players like Vinicius, Rodrygo, or Militao, whom he already knows from Madrid, will be key pieces in his new project.

The news has shaken both Brazil and Spain. The announcement marks the end of an era at Real Madrid and opens a new one for the most decorated coach in Europe.

Ancelotti is now officially the coach of Brazil. The road to the 2026 World Cup begins with him at the helm.
