Fabrizio Romano announces it: Real Madrid repeats the Nico Paz operation in Italy
The youth academy player who has said goodbye to Real Madrid to move to Italy has been revealed by Fabrizio Romano
Last season saw Nico Paz leave Real Madrid to sign for Como in Serie A. An operation that, despite initial doubts, was a great success with Nico being one of the season's biggest revelations. Como, interested in repeating this success and according to information from Fabrizio Romano, has signed center-back Jacobo Ramón.
The Real Madrid youth product has followed in Nico Paz's footsteps and has decided to become part of Cesc Fàbregas's project. At 20 years old, Jacobo arrives at the Italian squad as a center-back with great potential and unmatched talent. The deal has been finalized for €2.5 million ($2.5 million) plus add-ons.
In addition, according to what we know at Defensa Central, Real Madrid has 3 buy-back clauses. The same option the team currently has with Nico Paz. Finally, Real Madrid will have a 50% resale clause.
Another youth product to Como
Jacobo Ramón has been part of Real Madrid's youth academy since 2021 when he played for the Youth Soccer Base. He left that category after achieving a meteoric rise through all the team's Juvenil squads. Reaching Castilla in 2024, Jacobo presented himself as a center-back who, despite his age, had the right mentality to perform at the highest level.

Despite having played a few minutes with the first team, Jacobo didn't manage to establish himself like Raúl Asencio. Injuries were, to a large extent, the reason for this. Even so, aware of Jacobo's potential, Real Madrid has finalized his move to Como.
The Italian side has shown itself to be a good destination for less experienced players. Nico Paz, whose quality was never in question, has managed to improve his skills at Como. His impact at the club last season was such that, before the World Cup, his return to Real Madrid could have been possible.
The best option for Jacobo
Being able to go to any other club, Jacobo will join a very promising team. After securing its place in Serie A, Como's objectives have now changed. Jacobo's signing could be crucial for Como to dream of qualifying for European competitions.
