Fabrizio Romano announces Real Madrid's first signing for 2026-27

The Whites would have already secured the first signing

With the transfer market still open, Real Madrid are trying to focus only on the future. It's true that Ceballos's possible departure has changed the outlook after the match against Oviedo. However, the rumors surrounding what will happen with Rodrygo have also calmed down.

However, what does seem to be very close is a signing for Real Madrid, but for the 2026–2027 season. Fabrizio Romano has announced this, revealing Nico Paz's return. It will be the first addition they make according to the plans they have at Bernabéu.

The Argentine has seen his name in headlines in recent days due to a huge offer. But it wasn't Los Merengues, but Tottenham who had made a move to sign him. 70 million on the table to try to secure Nico Paz's services.

But Como have rejected that huge sum and partly it's because of Real Madrid, which managed to stop it. At Defensa Central, we've been able to confirm that they aren't forgetting about Nico Paz for next season. That's why they've blocked the possible departure of the Argentine to Tottenham this summer.

Real Madrid bet everything on Como

At the beginning of the summer, there was speculation about the possible signing of Nico Paz by Real Madrid. Partly because many teams were interested in signing him, but in the end, no move was made. Como managed to keep its star so he would stay at least one more year.

The plan for Real Madrid is for him to keep progressing in Serie A as he has so far. They believe another season of growth under Cesc Fàbregas will benefit him greatly. That's why they insisted to the Italians that they keep Nico and not accept Tottenham's multi-million offer.

This way, Los Merengues will keep 50 percent of the Argentine's rights. In addition to having a buy-back clause signed at a fairly low price. This will allow them to bring him back in the summer of 2026, as everything suggests will ultimately happen.
