FIFA is investigating him: the shameful video of Cabral insulting Rüdiger

The Real Madrid defender reported racist comments from the Pachuca player

The final minutes of the match between Real Madrid and Pachuca were marred by an incident involving Rüdiger and Cabral. With the score already decided in favor of the Whites, the referee decided to stop the match after the German player alerted him.

Both footballers got into a scuffle in the final moments and the threat of racism was once again present in a soccer stadium.

What happened between Rüdiger and Cabral?

During a tussle between the two, Gustavo Cabral made contact with the Real Madrid player, who asked for a penalty for the action. However, the referee didn't call anything and Rüdiger, visibly angry, got up from the ground and went after the Pachuca footballer.

At that moment, both got into a confrontation on the field, while Rüdiger kept demanding explanations for what had happened. In fact, several players, including Vinícius, came over to calm both of them down.

But the story didn't end there. The referee activated the first phase of the racism protocol after consulting with Real Madrid players. He made the gesture visibly and stopped the match for a few moments due to insults that Antonio Rüdiger may have received.

What are both sides' versions?

"It was an argument. The referee made the racism signal but there was nothing, it's a word we use a lot in Argentina: "cagón de mierda." I kept repeating the same thing to him the whole time", said Cabral in the mixed zone when asked about the incident.

"If you want to look up the word, in the footage you'll see that I keep saying "cagón de mierda, get up"", added Gustavo Cabral.

Meanwhile, Antonio Rüdiger appeared quite upset as he believed that Cabral had directed several racist insults at him.

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso tried to call for calm in the press room and left everything in the hands of FIFA. "We support Toni. Let's see, now the FIFA protocol will be activated and they're going to investigate", he replied.

"If it happened, we support Antonio. It's something unacceptable. There's no tolerance for that", Xabi Alonso concluded after the match in front of all the journalists.
