Five Reasons Why Real Madrid Has Finally Ruled out Theo's Transfer

The reasons why Theo Hernández won't be able to wear Real Madrid's jersey again

Faced with the wave of injuries suffered by Real Madrid, several players emerged as options to strengthen the Meringue team. While the priority target for the left wing position is Alphonso Davies, the club also showed interest in Theo Hernández.

However, this transfer was completely ruled out recently by the white club. Even though Theo's level is not in doubt, the team has its reasons for dismissing his transfer. One of them is his age, which is not far from a Ferland Mendy who is already 29 years old.

The other reasons are the opportunity the player already had with the team and the value that Milan will demand to allow their captain's departure. In addition to this, the player's off-field life doesn't please the Meringue environment, which has other priorities in mind.

Real Madrid's rejection

At 27 years old, Theo Hernández has managed to establish himself as an important player at AC Milan. After his time at Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, the Frenchman has settled in a club where he has already spent six seasons. However, despite the 1,632 minutes he has played, his relationship with his current coach has led him to seek an exit.

While Real Madrid emerged as a solid option, the team itself has taken care of ruling out this transfer. The reasons for making this decision are understandable, with the club looking for a young full-back who embodies the institution's values.

Through this situation, Real Madrid has once again demonstrated the thorough analysis it conducts before making a transfer. With Theo's rejection, Davies remains the priority although, if he doesn't arrive, the club would go for Miguel Gutiérrez.

Closed doors

Despite the speculation about a possible return, Real Madrid has permanently sealed Theo's future. With the doors of Valdebebas closed, the Frenchman will have to look for another team to continue his career.
