Flamengo Crosses Fingers for Vini to Sign and Go to Arabia, Big Money at Stake
Flamengo is crossing their fingers for Vini to sign and go to Arabia, the fortune they would earn
One of the big stories for the next transfer market is Saudi Arabia's interest in Vinícius Júnior. Despite his previous rejection last summer, the country hasn't given up on its interest in acquiring the Brazilian's services. Increasing the offer for the Real Madrid star more and more, Flamengo is interested in this operation.
The reason behind this interest lies in the well-known Solidarity Mechanism. Having been trained in Flamengo's ranks, the club is entitled to receive 2.5% of the total value of Vinícius's sale. Given the million-dollar offers presented by Arabia, the amount the Brazilian club would receive would be extremely significant.

However, in order to receive this important sum, Vinícius would have to accept the offer and his departure from Real Madrid. A rather unlikely situation given the player's loyalty to a club with which he is close to signing his contract renewal.
Flamengo's Intentions
Having trained at Flamengo until his departure in 2018 to Real Madrid, the club hasn't forgotten about Vinícius. Apart from celebrating his constant successes and victories with the merengue team, the club is keeping an eye on a possible sale. Aware that their former player is now one of the best in the world, his value has increased considerably.
Faced with Arabia's intention to pay Vinícius's 1 billion euro clause, Flamengo would have received 153 million reais. Although this wasn't possible, the offer for 300 million euros was also significant, potentially leaving 45 million reais for the club.

However, and unfortunately for Flamengo, everything points to Vinícius Júnior not leaving Real Madrid in the near future. Despite not having signed his renewal yet, the player has clarified that he seeks to take his time with an operation that shouldn't be rushed.
The Frustrated Desire
Although Flamengo wished for Vinícius's departure for the money they could have received, the club will have to wait. Even though Vinícius's departure is quite unlikely at the moment, Flamengo will continue to monitor the situation of their homegrown player.
