Florentino cashes in on the youth academy, over €20M and with round trips

Florentino works his magic with the youth academy once again and now pockets €20 million in pure reserve team operations

The work done by the white club's board has been truly spectacular in recent years. Obviously, it's all thanks to Florentino Pérez, who's been a true strategist with the team and what he has achieved.  Now he's cashing in with a more than considerable amount from academy players who'll bring us €21.5 million ($21.5 million) in this very transfer window.

This is simply an unbelievable figure considering they keep 50% of their registration rights. With these, if any of them manage to break out in the future, it could mean a buyback at an almost bargain price.

This strategy has worked for the white team for several years and now it seems they're doing it on a massive scale. This is because a total of up to six players have left the academy for different teams.

Great management of the academy players

The white team has been known for not constantly turning to its academy. However, they've managed to take advantage of this part of the club to generate money for its coffers.

This amount is one of the highest that surely any team could make with players from its reserve squad.  The reserve squad players, such as Chema, Álvaro Rodríguez, or Jacobo Ramón, are the ones who bring these amounts into the white structure.

While it won't be used strictly for signings, it's an important sum that'll help with the club's management. In addition, with some names on the table for possible additions, it could indeed serve this specific purpose. Although in the end, that's the decision Florentino Pérez has to make and it'll probably be the best possible for the institution.

This must continue

What is clear is that, with this management, especially with the work done by the top executives, everything must continue this way. This is to guarantee the sporting and, above all, financial well-being of the club, which will be very important for the coming years and in the long term.
